SO, WHO ARE 'NO VERDICT'?
The current line-up of NO VERDICT came together in the middle of 2012, adding Albert's expert keyboard lines and vocal harmonies to the new look band. The change from a guitar driven group (with the departure of Tom Briggs in 2012) to the current structure of NO VERDICT has opened up a huge selection of repertoire.
The new NO VERDICT can play most songs from the past fifty years.
JOHN
John is the lead singer of NO VERDICT.
He started singing and playing guitar when he was 7 years old and has always been interested in music, particularly in singing. He started his first band when he was 15 with his brother Mick and together they founded NO VERDICT.
John studied Vocal Technique at Thames Valley University, where he gained experience and developed his vocal technique.
MICK
Mick is a classically trained musician, and started his musical life learning to play the piano, then started playing the classical guitar. Mick became involved with bands in his teens and continued playing the electric and classical guitar at the University of Huddersfield.
Now a peripatetic guitar teacher, Mick teaches in schools around the county, and provides the lead guitar and backing vocals for NO VERDICT.
ALBERT
Albert is back again playing the keyboard with NO VERDICT after a short hiatus between 2010-2011.
Albert is a classically trained pianist and achieved a Grade 8 distinction aged 16 and before heading off to study Music Systems Engineering at UWE, Bristol. Albert is passionate about songwriting and recording also, and has also been musical director of several local shows and pantomimes in the local area.
Albert is currently working as a maths teacher in Northampton and also privately teaches piano and keyboard.
CHRIS
Chris provides the bass lines for No VERDICT, as well as backing vocals.
Chris started to play music from a very early age, but settled on playing basslines in his early teens. Orchestrally trained on tuba and bass trombone, Chris took up bass guitar at the age of 20. He has subsequently performed with and recorded for a number of local, National/International groups and artists.
Chris studied at the London College of Music and the Roehampton Institute (University of Surrey) and now teaches in Wellingborough, Northants
BARRY
Barry is the drummer.
